Personal training is simply the best way to achieve your fitness goals and improve your overall health. But why?
Personal Trainers (PTs) are fitness professionals who work with clients to create personalized workout plans and provide guidance and support.
One of the biggest benefits of personal training is that it can help to increase motivation and accountability. PTs can help to hold you accountable and keep you motivated to achieve your goals. Additionally, PTs can provide guidance and support to help you improve your form and technique, which can help to reduce the risk of injury.
Another benefit of personal training is that it can fast track your results. The major theories of weight loss or muscle gain are the same for everybody. However, how we apply those theories to an individual is the reason so many fail in attempts of improving their health and fitness.
A good PT will have a lot of experience and can help you rule out methods that won't work for you and get you quicker to ones that do!
When looking for a PT, it's important to find someone who has the right qualifications, experience, and approach. It's also important to find someone who you feel comfortable working with and who has your best interest at heart.
A PT should be able to work to help you, and get you to work the best way you can, trying the right methods for you. Sadly, too many coaches only coach the methods that works for them. Then when results don't come, it is often the client who is left disappointed and sometimes worst off than they were before.
When you choose a PT, respect their experience and ask to see evidence of their previous clients and WHY the methods worked for them. Often it will reveal, one, if the PT is right for you via their example of methods and, two, whether you are going to be willing to put the effort in for changes.
When you talk to a PT, be open and honest. If you hold back you won't get the real help you need. Most experienced PTs know quite quickly whether the person is going to work hard for change or not, especially after the first few weeks. Sometimes you may feel embarrassed or "too unfit to start" is something I hear, A LOT! But trust me, no one is too unfit, no one is unable to get help. It is what a good PT does and why they enjoy the job!
